Publication date: June 6th 2013
by Sapphire Star Publishing
Genre: New Adult Romance

Synopsis:

Long- Gracie has just finished her freshman year of college in Memphis when she takes a job at a local pizza joint in her home town of McKenzie, Tennessee. She is the epitome of innocence when she meets Noah. Noah is unabashedly handsome, intriguingly reckless and just cocky enough to be sexy. Gracie’s instincts tell her to stay far away from him and based on the stories she hears from her co-workers he leaves broken hearts in his wake. But still, she can’t explain her fascination with him.

Noah puts aside his bad boy ways when what he thought was a summer crush has him unexpectedly falling in love. But soon after Gracie transfers to UT Knoxville to be with Noah, their unexpected love becomes riddled with anger, deceit and humiliation.

Jake, Noah’s former roommate and Gracie’s best friend, can no longer be a bystander. Gracie’s world falls out from beneath her and when she breaks she turns to Jake for strength. As Jake talks her through a decision she’s not yet strong enough to make, together they uncover a truth so ugly neither of them is prepared for its fallout. Will Jake pull her to the surface or is Gracie Jordan finally In Too Deep?

My Review

5 of 5 In Too Deep

Okay here it goes..... This book is F^&*%$# INCREDIBLE! Lord I have never ever been so heart broken in my life. I read this book and lord i had all these emotions and I was bawling like a crazy a$ lady! Have you ever seen a car accident coming and you try and turn the other way but you can't you have to see what happens? Well HOLY HELL In Too Deep is like that and man oh man I have never cried and yelled at a book like I did this book.

Gracie is your ordinary college girl. Likes school and works hard. She has an easy life just coasting by until she meets college bad boy Noah. Lord she knows he is a bad boy because she has heard the rumors and people have warned her to stay away from him. He breaks hearts like he changes his boxers. He is a chew and screw type of guy. So when they start talking and getting closer Noah shows Gracie a different side of himself. Gracie's walls that she has put up comes crashing down and she transfers to his college to be with him.

Everyone tells her that is a bad idea but she does not listen and soon she is on a collision course with Noah. But there is a bright side to it because Gracie has her best friend who is Noah's ex roommate Jake. Soon Gracie and Jake are getting closer and Noah is not feeling it. But at the end of the day when the dust settles Gracie will have to chose whether or not she is going to stay with Noah or move on to someone else close to her that loves her and treats her right.

This is a story about first loves, heart break, betrayal, and learning what true love looks like. This is a must read!

My Review

5 of 5 On Solid Ground

First off I have to say that Michelle blew me away with In Too Deep and I just could not get enough of that book. I have never read such emotions like that before and I was so glued to the book that everything around me stopped and it did not exist until I finished it. Then the ending had me wondering if there was going to be another one and low and behold I stalked Michelle and found out that there was indeed going to be another few books and I jumped for joy. I had to have more of Jake and Gracie and Beckie. I did not want to read about Noah anymore. I had a Noah and the shit life that comes with being in an abusive relationship really never goes away. You live life day by day but you also have so many fears and when you do find something good you are reluctant to to be with that person because your just not sure your heart can take it. But I give Gracie credit because she found her heart and Jake stood by her through all the crap and even had it out with Noah.

So in On Solid Ground we get to see Gracie and Beckie and Jake staying on at college for the summer to take classes and just figure out what they want and how they are going to be together. Beckie and Gracie are inseparable best friends to the end and not wanting to be apart from one another. Beckie is the ultimate best friend ever!

Then you have Jake oh man he is the love of my life as far as book boyfriends go because he is loving and caring and selflessness man he is all about Gracie and healing her and allowing her to find herself even thought it means being apart from her for some time that is okay because he loves her dearly and will do anything to keep her.

Then we get a few new characters in this book that I loved to death. Sarah is awesome and she gives good advice but the main character that I loved in this book was Calon. Lord I never thought I would love another like him. He is all about business as he is the lead singer in a band named Alternate Tragedy and he helps Gracie with her singing and playing. But what he helps her with the most is her healing. Gracie needed some time to heal and Calon helped her with that. He loves Gracie like a sister and will do anything to protect her and comfort her. Together they make a great team and Calon and Beckie are there for Gracie at every turn.

This is such a great follow up and the story that unfolds is about love, trust, friendship, and finding ones self amongst the rough!

AUTHOR BIO:

Michelle Kemper Brownlow has been a storyteller her entire life. Her debut was on the high school cheerleading bus granting requests to re-tell her most embarrassing moments for a gaggle of hysterical squadmates.

Earning her Bachelor’s degree from Penn State University in Art Education and then marrying her very own “Jake,” she moved to Binghamton, NY where she taught high school. After having two children she quit work and finished her Master’s degree in Elementary Education at Binghamton University.

The Brownlow family of four moved to Michelle’s hometown of Morgantown, PA while the children were still quite young. A few years after moving, her family grew by one when they welcomed a baby into their home through the gift of adoption. The family still resides in PA, just miles from where that high school cheer bus was parked.

Michelle has been an artist for as long as she can remember, always choosing pencils and crayons over toys and puzzles. As a freelance illustrator, her simple characters play the starring roles in numerous emergent reader books published by Reading Reading Books.

“Writing is my way of making sense of the world. When I give my characters life on the pages I write, it frees up space in my mind to welcome in new stories that are begging to be told,” says Brownlow.
