Around The World ARC Tours Presents a Review of The Long Game (The Fixer #2) by Jennifer Lynn Barnes

Synopsis:

Tess Kendrick, teen fixer extraordinaire, returns in a pulse-pounding thriller about a deadly conspiracy at the heart of Washington.

For Tess Kendrick, a junior at the elite Hardwicke School in Washington D.C., fixing runs in the family. But Tess has another legacy, too, one that involves power and the making of political dynasties. When Tess is asked to run a classmate's campaign for student council, she agrees. But when the candidates are children of politicians, even a high school election can involve life-shattering secrets.

Meanwhile, Tess's guardian has also taken on an impossible case, as a terrorist attack calls into doubt who can--and cannot--be trusted on Capitol Hill. Tess knows better than most that power is currency in D.C., but she's about to discover first-hand that power always comes with a price.

Perfect for fans of Harlan Coben and Ally Carter, the second book in this thrilling series will leave readers breathless.

Review:

Jennifer comes back strong with this second installment of the Fixer series. Tess is back and in her Junior year at Hardwicke School for the elite. She is known as the fixer as she fixes everything in her family. Tess also has a future in politics but she is not interested.

In this story Tess is asked to run her classmates campaign for student council. She is excited to be helping out her classmate until she finds out who the other candidates are. They are children of politicians. Tess knows this is not going to be an easy campaign to win. As she knows these classmates will do anything by any means necessary to win. She knows they will lie and do whatever necessary to keep their secrets safe and win to impress their parents.

While all of this is going on Tess's guardian is put on an impossible case involving terrorists. She must figure out who to trust but everyone is carrying secrets and will do anything to keep it that way.

Tess is caught between a rock and a hard place. What will she do? Will she be caught up in this mess or will she be able to fix things?
